Ivory Coast, 12 Oct 20212 traffickers arrested with lion skin, hyena skin and many more. The middleman got arrested first and led the team to the bigger trafficker a Nigerian woman that trafficked all from Nigeria. Skins of honey badger, civet and others were seized together with 451 dried chameleons.
4 arrested attempting to sell 4 ivory tusks
Gabon, 29 Sep 20214 arrested attempting to sell 4 ivory tusks. 2 were first arrested trying to sell the tusks and 2 more would be arrested shortly after. This brings to 10 traffickers arrested this month alone trafficking in ivory. Good work of Conservation Justice with authorities on the ground.
Two arrested with a baby chimp
Cameroon, 28 Sep 20212 arrested with a baby chimp following information on the theft of the baby chimp in a sanctuary. The chimp was found in a large storeroom close to a Chinese tiles shop in the country’s economic capital Douala. Two were arrested on the spot and one more, who is considered to be the brain behind the trafficking and was not present during the operation, is still to be arrested.

Gabon, 15 Sep 20214 traffickers arrested with several tusks cut into several pieces, a gun and ammunition. 2 traffickers were first arrested as they attempted to sell 2 tusks that had been cut into 6 pieces to probably concealed them better and transport.

Gabon, 14 Sep 20212 traffickers including a Filipino national arrested with 4 tusks. The Filipino who runs a partnership business with a logging company in Gabon used the company car to transport the elephant tusks.

Cameroon, 14 Jul 2021Another baby mandrill rescued and trafficker arrested ! The mandrill is weak, fragile and malnourished. A cord that was tied around the waist of little animal inflicted injuries on the mandrill and left a gaping wound.
