Arrest of an elephant dealer
Cameroon, 8 May 2014Canal 2 international Television channel broadcast the arrest of a dealer in the East region of Cameroon with skulls and teeth of elephant. He was caught in a crack down operation led by officials of the Upper Nyong delegation of Forestry and Wildlife assisted technically by LAGA. The possession of these trophies only explains how much the country fauna is endangered!

Arrest of 3 major traffickers of ivory
Togo, 6 Feb 2014Following investigations carried out by TALFF and l'Unité Mixte de Contrôle des conteneurs and l'Office Central de Répression du Trafic Illicite des Drogues et du Blanchiment (OCRTIDB) 2126.3 kg of ivory tusks were seized in Lome on January 29, 2014 at the Port of Lomé. The seized contraband belonged to the traffickers arrested earlier. Two of them were Togolese, the third man was Vietnamese.
