Mésange Cignas

Mésange is a Congolese lawyer and activist, committed to the fight against the illicit trade with wildlife and fighting the corruption. She joined PALF in 2010 as a legal adviser, and she is the only one, who remained with the project after the complete reconstruction of the team in 2016. In 2018 she was appointed Assistant Coordinator.

“This responsibility made me to travel all over our national territory,” she says, “to train law enforcement officials of Water and Forests, to participate in workshops and seminars with the European Union, the US Embassy in Congo, FAO and other international organizations. But first of all – to lead PALF team into many arrest operations. We are far from stopping the catastrophe, which is our wildlife facing, but we continue fighting!”
